"Staying in touch with the latest ideas and information is essential in providing the best care and finding workable solutions."
According to a 1988 survey of Symphony and Opera musicians, 76% reported at least one medical problem severe enough to affect performance. Things have not improved since then. To cope with this , in the past 10 years over 40 Performance Arts Medicine Clinics have opened across America.

and affordable custom work to satisfy the demands that you expect.
| I work on any make of flute to design what is right for each player.
I have designed mechanisms for all kinds of hands, conditions, and all
ages of players.
I work personally with people in this field every day and understand their concerns. I get calls from teachers, hand specialists, doctors, flutists and students looking for help or sharing ideas. I don't work on a flute unless I know it will help. I look for solutions wherever they are, even if they may not require flute modifications. Many problems are postural or even medical in nature and require the services of a different kind of specialist. In these cases, I direct them to someone who can better help them. I work one on one to discover underlying causes to make sure that the program I prescribe will help the problem rather than aggravate or simply transfer it somewhere else. I can advise flutists on any subject related to performance injury, even if it is just a friendly consultation. My success rate speaks for itself. I have worked with flutists with simple problems like short reach to career breaking nerve damage and helped get their careers back on track. I don't have to meet you to achieve successful results. My program is geared towards working with flutists around the country. We take pride in our comprehensive custom design department! |
